Boost your results with a better ad

Good writing gets attention and motivates people to act. That's true even when writing google Adwords or other PPC ads. So if you're conducting a search ad campaign to get customers or clients, you want your ads to be as well written -- and effective -- as possible.

But perhaps you've struggled with how to write ads that bring more people to your site. Based on my experience, here are a few things you can do to write better PPC ads.

  1. Use action verbs. Get rid of verbs like "is" or "has" and replace them with more active and descriptive verbs, like "save," "find," "learn," or "get."
  2. Start your sentences with those action verbs. You don't have much space in a PPC ad, so don't waste it. Cut to the chase, with a strong action verb.
  3. Focus on the main benefit. Think about the main thing that will benefit your customers. If you sell women's clothes, for example, you might want to say something like "Look 10 years younger and slimmer."
  4. Put it in personal terms. Speak to the customer directly. Be personal and say "you."
  5. Write a Call To Action. Encourage people to click through to your site.
  6. Write more than one ad. Testing is critical and necessary. Try out a bunch of different ads and see which one works best.

Hope these tips help you write better PPC ads and get better results. If you'd like some professional help, I'm available at GoogleAdWriter.com.
